Aktivitas Antioksidan Serbuk n-heksana dan Metanol Hasil Pengeringan Semprot Ekstrak Keladi tikus (Typhonium divaricatum (L) Decne
Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan hasil pengeringan semprot ekstrak n-heksana dan ekstrak methanol daun keladi tikus (Typhonium divaricatum (L) Decne menggunakan maltodekstrin dengan konsentrasi 35,40 dan 45% sebagai pengisi dan penambah kelarutan. Terhadap serbuk n-heksana dan metanol dilakukan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode peredaman radikal bebas DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil).  Hasil uji terhadap serbuk n-heksana  menggunakan maltodekstrin 35,40 dan 45% diperoleh nilai IC50 berturut-turut 283,29 bpj, 167,99 bpj dan 121,15 bpj. Hasil uji terhadap serbuk metanol  menggunakan maltodekstrin 40,45 dan 55%  diperoleh nilai IC50 berturut-turut adalah 58,78 bpj, 59,78 bpj dan 54,09 bpj. Dari hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa serbuk methanol memiliki nilai IC50 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan serbuk n-heksana, tetapi lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan vitamin C sebagai kontrol dengan nilai IC50 7,59 bpj.

Pengeringan semprot ekstrak n-heksana daun keladi tikus (Typhonium divaricatum (L) Decne dan uji sitotoksisitasnya
Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas sitotoksik terhadap sel kanker payudara T-47D hasil pengeringan semprot ekstrak n-heksana daun keladi tikus (Typhonium divaricatum (L) Decne menggunakan maltodekstrin dengan konsentrasi 35,40 dan 45% sebagai pengisi dan penambah kelarutan. Terhadap serbuk n-heksana dilakukan penapisan fitokimia untuk mengetahui kandungan golongan senyawa, uji pendahuluan menggunakan metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test dan uji sitotoksisitas menggunakan metode 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2-5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa serbuk n-heksana mengandung golongan senyawa steroid/triterpenoid. Hasil uji pendahuluan menggunakan larva Artemia salina Leach terhadap serbuk n-heksana hasil pengeringan semprot menggunakan maltodekstrin 35,40 dan 45% diperoleh nilai LC50 berturut-turut 48,63 µg/mL, 30,95 µg/mL dan  46,99 µg/mL. Uji sitotoksisitas serbuk n-heksana menggunakan maltodekstrin 35,40 dan 45% terhadap sel kanker T-47D diperoleh nilai IC50 berturut-turut 234 µg/mL, 197 µg/m dan 173 µg/mL.

Determination of The Essential Amino Acid from Aloe Vera Gel by High Performance Liquid Chromatography
Abstrak

Aloe vera is a plant useful as a raw material of pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, also in food and beverage products. In this study to determination of the essential amino acid of A.vera gel (Aloe vera L.) by HPLC. A.vera gel is hydrolyzed using 6N hydrochloric acid, to convert the protein into free amino acids. Then free amino acids were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using phenylisothiocyanate (PTIC) derivatization process. The results of protein assay performed on the A.vera gel by Kjeldahl method was obtained 0.14%. The results of the essential amino acid levels obtained by HPLC is an essential amino acid were:  threonine, valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine and lysine respectively 7.4 ppm, 12.5 ppm, 11.6 ppm, 14 ppm; 17, 7 ppm, 13.8 ppm and 36.5 ppm.

Chemical constituent of Ethyl acetate Fraction from the Methanol Extract of Typhonium flagelliforme Leaves, Araceae
Abstrak

Typhonium flagelliforme (Lodd) Blume, familia Araceae, is one of the plant for anticancer until there’s no much research is done to know the contents of active compounds of the plants. This study was isolated and identification of chemical compounds from ethyl acetate fraction from Typhonium flagelliforme. This research is continued from previous research which is done by phytochemical screening, the ethyl acetate fraction was isolated using Vacuum Liquid Chromatography, then the fractions were fractionated with column chromatography and the pure compound was identified by UV-VIS, FTIR, LCMS-MS and 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, 2D-NMR including HMQC, HMBC, DEPT and COSY. The result from the isolation of the ethyl acetate fractioan T.flagelliforme (Lodd) Blume obtained 2 compounds namely adenosine and adenine

Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Activity of Keladi Tikus Leaves Extract (Typhonium flagelliforme (Lodd) Blume
Abstrak

Keladi tikus (Typhonium flagelliforme (Lodd) Blume is a plant that has many benefits in health such as anticancer, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antihepatotoxic. This study aims to determine the antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of different extracts of leaves.T.flagelliforme. The agar diffusion  method was used in the antimicrobial activity. DPPH scavenging radical, the FTC and the TBA method were used in the antioxidant activity. The results showed the ethyl acetate, n-butanol and water phase has antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, while the n-hexane pahase has no activity against bacteria tested, and has no inhibitory activity against Candida albicans. The results of antioxidant activity by DPPH method, the FTC and the TBA showed ethyl acetate phase is the most active (IC50 = 56,32 ppm) and has the smallest slope value (0,0677) and the smallest absorbance (0,0231) respectively.
